The APC held its 8th National Convention at Eagles Square in Abuja on 27 and 28 March 2026, drawing 8,453 delegates from all 36 states and the FCT. President Tinubu, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima led a large turnout of governors and party leaders as the convention elected a new National Working Committee by consensus and reaffirmed the party's Renewed Hope Agenda heading into the 2027 election cycle.
