Speaking through APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda at the APC Professionals Forum's Asiwaju Scorecard policy roundtable in Abuja on 2 September 2026, President Tinubu reaffirmed a roadmap to grow Nigeria into a $1 trillion economy by 2030, built around infrastructure expansion, a five-port maritime corridor, energy development and manufacturing. The administration pointed to second-quarter 2026 GDP growth of 4.43% and inflation easing to around 15.4% as evidence the plan was on track.
