President Tinubu commissioned the Gateway International Airport in Iperu, Ogun State, on 4 April 2026, part of a state visit aimed at positioning Ogun as a logistics and aviation hub in South-West Nigeria. The commissioning was among a series of infrastructure inaugurations the president carried out across southern states through April.
