President Tinubu commissioned the 42-kilometre Sagbama–Ekeremor road and a 60-megawatt gas turbine power project in Bayelsa State on 10 April 2026, during a one-day state visit focused on improving connectivity and power supply in the Niger Delta. The road is expected to open up previously hard-to-reach riverine communities in the state.
